We’ve all been talking about our 2019 goals recently. One of the things that we feel strongly about is improving our environmental awareness and making positive changes. What can we do personally and professionally to be more responsible? How can we show our kids that we are trying to clean up the mess we’ve made? We are talking about things at work like reducing print marketing (no more postcards!), walking to showings within a few km and helping clients purchase greener homes. Personally, we’ve been trying to buy less plastic and switch to led lighting (that was hard!!!) and making some small day to day changes at home.

How to Make those Resolutions Stick!

I think most people look at a new year as fresh start; a time to create new good habits, break old bad ones, and set new goals in their personal and professional lives.  Unfortunately without a plan in place, these resolutions tend to get broken….well, right about now.  This is why the gyms are packed for the first couple of weeks of January and revert back to normal by the beginning of February!  I’m no expert, I’m definitely learning as I go, but I wanted to share with you some tips I’ve learned for setting goals, and sticking to them.  Maybe together we can make 2019 the best yet!

Hosting a kids birthday party in West Toronto

How do birthdays creep up so quickly? And why am I always scrambling at the last minute to plan something for my kids? I really don’t do myself any favours by waiting until the last minute. It adds unneeded stress and sometimes ends up in disappointment for the littles when things are booked up. My kids are all old enough that they have outgrown the “themed” party hosted at our house (and I’m done cleaning them up!!)  but young enough that they still want to do something fun with their friends.  Since I found myself planning very last minute Birthday adventures yet again, I thought I’d share some ideas on hosting a kids birthday party in West Toronto!
