FUN FACT
In 1904, the behaviour of the Junction workers was so out of hand that the residents voted to ban alcohol in the area and it remained 'dry' until 1998. The area east of Keele was dry up until 2001! The re-introduction of alcohol had a huge impact on the revitalization of the entire area starting in the late 1990's.
